The sun beat directly down on Charis, who was already weak from hunting. She had decided to teach herself hunting here because of its vast amount of space, with little objects to interrupt a chase. However, she had underestimated the power of the sun. Panting, she lay down for a second. Her black fur absorbing the sunlight, and she tried using her bright yellow butterfly wings to block it out. Even though she had been hunting for a long time, with frequent breaks in between, she still hadn’t caught anything. Dismayed, she wondered if she would ever catch anything at all. She must have dozed off in the sun, because when she awoke, there was a jackalope a few feet off. It was probably because the wind was blowing a different direction, and the fact that she wasn’t moving, that had made it even get this close in the first place. Crouching down, she carefully balanced her weight like she was about to battle. Slinking across the ground, carefully keeping her weight like that. She stumbled past a rock, alerting the jackalope. There was a few seconds where they both comprehended what was going on, both staring at each other. Charis leap up high, it was an impressive height too. However, she leapt too high, and the jackalope had time to process where she was going to land and dash off, out of sight. Dismayed, but not deterred Charis continued searching for her next target.

[scrolly:h(260),w(420),sy] Kasmira trotted happily along in the bright sunshine, bright bursts of flowers growing from her footsteps as the Lupuse used her earth powers, although unaware since she was in her own day dream world for a moment. The bright purple Lupuse felt the sun on her back, but as her fur was neither dark nor light it didn't affect her too much. Suddenly a loud thump on the ground startled her for a moment, and she glanced around, looking for the source of the noise.
Her bright green eyes noticed a younger black wolf with yellow butterfly wings. Surprised and delighted for company, the friendly wolf trotted over, smiling warmly at the unknown wolf. " Hello there! It's a beautiful day, isn't it? By the way, my name's Kasmira, but most just call me Kas." Suddenly the four year-old wolf noticed a frightened Jackalope running away, and things began to click in the storytellers head: Someone's having a little trouble with hunting... Kasmira thought to herself, smiling as she remembered her own first awkward attempts at hunting.
It was a delicate situation, and she certainly didn't want to offend her new companion. She also noticed the sun was quite hot, and that maybe her companion's black fur would absorb the heat, which was dangerous. Deciding she would help this unknown wolf out, she focused and began to absorb the earth's energy, giving her a bit of a green glow. She pushed it back into the fresh earth, and several large bushes appeared as well as some medium height trees and a bunch of colorful flowers, although she wasn't sure how those had gotten there. At least they're pretty... she thought positively to herself.
She gestured with her head to the large shelter she had made, which let small rays of the sun in but would provide shelter from most of the sun: "Maybe it'd be better if we talked in the shade." she suggested. Then an idea hit her, and she added: "Then a snack might be nice, maybe there's some tasty jackalopes around..." she decided to pretend she had not seen the younger wolf's attempts to hunt, since it might make her embarrassed. This way, she could still help her, and it gave the younger wolf a chance to decline her offer without any embarassement.[/scrolly]

Sharply halting, Charis stared at the other wolf. Not at all embarrassed at the thought that the wolf might have seen her failed attempts. When the wolf started glowing, Charis was mildly surprised. She couldn’t quite put her tongue on the right word for it, but she was familiar. “Maybe it would be better if we talked in the shade.” The wolf suggested. "Then a snack might be nice, maybe there's some tasty jackalopes around..." the wolf added. Charis layed down in the shade, thankful for the immediate lack of sun. “Thank you, nice pelt by the way, I have only ever seen that color in flowers.” Charis blurted out, then quickly answered her question. “Yes, there are some of those around, I saw quite a few.” Her antenna twitches as she sniffed a flower in the shade. “It must be nice having such nice powers.” She commented, only half her attention on the other wolf. Her yellow wings fluttering on her back to cool her off some more. She admired the trees, and the bushes. Imagining how a weary traveller would feel suddenly coming upon such a spectacle. The flowers were brightly colored, and fairly pretty. They set a soft but nice scent around the place.

[scrolly:h(260),w(420),sy] Kasmira's green eyes watched the wolf enter her "plant" cave, and immediately liked Charis: A lot. She reminded her of herself, a younger version, or course. Kas joined her companion in her makeshift shaded area, admiring her handiwork for a moment. She heard the other wolf remark on her pelt, and she grinned: "Thank you. I've always liked flowers, so I guess that's a plus for me."
Kasmira then thought about her powers: Yes, she decided, they were nice. " It is fun to have them, they come in handy. Of course, they can be a pain too." Suddenly, a memory surfaced, and she grinned and added: "Once I tried to grow a tree, when I was only two and had just got my powers. The tree ended up thick as a flower stem and snapped in half." she chuckled. " There are many wolves like me with powers, some control water," she thought of her friend Coneiron "some can control wind..." her mind wandered to Somatra, her mentor in a way, "even lightning!" she thought about Faye, her other friend.
" I may not be powerful, but I guess I'm pretty good. What I think would be really cool though, would be to have wings like yours, They're beautiful." she complimented Charis. " I find this works pretty well with hunting..." Kasmira whispered to her new friend, as fresh, green grass sprouted in a large patch, a few feet away from their area. As if on cue, a jackalope hopped closer, and closer still, delighted by the sudden treat, and unawares that his death shortly awaited him. " I'll let you handle this one. Wait until he hops a little closer, than pounce, using your teeth to rip at his throat and stop him. At least, that's what I do. You can do whatever works." she offered, waiting for a reply. Charis listened closely as Kasmira told her about her powers. Though she thought mildly in her mind about how strange it was, having been acquainted with wolfs like her before though helped in her belief. Her ears suddenly perked, at the last name on the list. However she bit her tongue in commenting about it. " I may not be powerful, but I guess I'm pretty good. What I think would be really cool though, would be to have wings like yours, they're beautiful." she complimented Charis. “Power isn’t everything, it’s the knowledge of how to use it that matters.” Charis pointed out, a lesson she commonly went by herself. “Thank you, but they aren’t very useful.” She commented. As the purple wolf showed her how a trick that helped her catch jackalope, Charis got up and shook herself off. She eyed the rabbit like critter carefully, positive that if she came from the air it would notice her. She gave a nod to her friend, then eyed the jackalope again. Her mind trying to piece together the best way to catch it. Positioning herself out of sight in the grass, and making sure the wind was on her side. She carefully picked up a rock in her jaws. Unceremoniously she shook her head and spit the rock out. It landed with a rustle of grass on the side of the jackalope opposite to herself. Scared, it burst of running in the opposite direction of the rock. Coming right at her, with a flick of Charis’s jaws she caught it. Delighted at her catch, and knowing she owed it all to Kasmira. Charis’s eyes twinkled as she approached the purple wolf, her kill hanging limply in her jaws. Setting her kill down, “Thank you!” she announced happily wagging her tail. Offering the jackolope to share with her paw.

[scrolly:h(260),w(420),sy] The purple wolf watched Charis's success with delight: She was actually quite good! In fact, Kas noted, she's quite wise for her age. Kasmira padded over to Charis, smiling at her: "Wow, that was very smart of you! I'll have to try that trick sometime." Kasmira was actually beginning to grow hungry simply looking at the tasty Jackalope, but she knew it was more polite to let her new friend have the first bite: After all, it was the young wolf that caught the prey.
Kas sat down, her tail brushing over the grass lightly, glad that she had helped another wolf, at least a little, that day. " Well, I didn't do that much, but you're welcome anyways. I like what you said about power, I completely agree." she said, her green eyes twinkling with joy: A new friend always put the friendly wolf in a happy mood.[/scrolly]

Charis nodded at the comment about the trick she had pulled. She took a bite out of the jackalope, and chewed, cherishing the bite of her first catch.
“Yes, but it is cheating, and I’ll need to learn how to catch prey the proper way eventually.” She said after she finished chewing.
" Well, I didn't do that much, but you're welcome anyways. I like what you said about power, I completely agree." Kasmira said.
“Hm? You caught the jackalope though, you attracted it, the jackalope was yours. I just delivered it.” Charis concluded, nodding her head when Kasmira agreed with her.
“What pack are you in exactly?” Charis asked, suddenly curious about where this wolf was from. She wanted to know about the world around her, and thought this was a good opportunity to figure it out without wandering into another wolfs territory. Antenna twitching slightly on her head.

Cyra came into the Yuliterra Prairie almost by mistake, as it was one of those days where she would just wander off into someplace unknown. But rest assured, if she smelt the territory of another pack she would head another direction, as she did not want to intrude. A while ago she came out of some trees and spotted the vast open space of the prairie, filled with wild green grass and colourful flowers blooming here and there, adding colour beauty to the land. Being and earth lupus, whenever she was near forests, trees, or vegetation, she would unintentionally receive energy from them. Just being in that type of environment made her feel more alive and energetic then usually, and sometimes the felling would last for some time to come. So as she parted the trees, she couldn’t help but to take advantage of the wide, open space, and break out into a sprint. Cyra raced across the prairie in a straight line, the wind pushing back at the fur on her face and making her eyes water. She was so filled with energy and so completely happy in that moment, she didn’t think of anything else. Cyra eventually came to a trot, then finally a walk. She felt the cool breeze on her fur and the grass caressing her legs at every step.
As she was walking, she noticed a scent carried by the breeze. Not long after two others wolves came into sight. She stayed at a distance and watched, as she usually did before she let her presence known. One of the two was a complete stranger. The other, she recognized from her own pack, but could not put a name to her. It was the stranger who caught her attention though. She seemed to be an earth lupus like herself, and after a couple more minutes of watching she was almost completely sure. The stranger was helping the other one from her pack to hunt, it seemed. Interesting Cyra thought, as it wasn’t too long ago she was practicing hunting herself. She thought back to the Mountains and how she would probably never hunt there again. Here, where she could use her powers to her advantage seemed much more an appealing place to hunt. And why not practice with members of my own pack? she thought. She also figured she would have a couple things in common with the other earth lupus.
As she neared the two, she noticed the catch they had made. Cyra wasn’t aware if it was rude to come in while others had started to eat, but she thought that she would just leave again if not wanted. Cyra came up in front of the two and introduced herself, "Hello, my name is Cyra. I was just coming by and noticed you two were up to some hunting and wondered if I could help. I come from the Phillia Alliance as a hunter and could use a bit of practice myself. I’m sorry if I interrupted anything”
