The warm water sent towers of steam reaching for the nighttime sky, wind then sent the towers swirling across the pool as if they were tornados. A thin one whizzed past Hazen’s head as he slowly walked through the water. He let the warmth seep into his bones and muscles, he let it sooth him and calm him and lull him. This was the most relaxing place he had ever been to, well at nighttime that is. During the day the blasted monkeys made a racket of note and other wolves seemed to think this a good place to visit. Because of those reasons he had taken to coming here at night when he was up to it. The only problem with soaking in the waters was that afterwards he would have to get out. In the pool and out of the pool were extreme contrasts.
His fur seemed to glow somewhat, lighting the pool from within. It glowed yellow making the floor seem as if it were made of gold. The simple trick of making his fur glow was one of the easiest things he had ever learnt and so nowadays it took little energy. So it did not disturb his relaxation, he would not be too happy if anything did in all honesty.

Crow waded near the edge, seemingly out of no where. He had found the Lumen before him quiet intriguing considering he was so calm, so relaxed. His horns kept the moonlight from hitting the tension on his flushed face. He too felt the breeze and shivered a bit, once out of nervousness and once out of fear.
He licked his nose as it was awfully dry at the moment and as if he was debating wither or not he should have said a word. His sleek and long tail drooped as his hind legs trembled, awaiting reassurance that his words had been heard, and accepted.

Hazen came to a standstill as the other wolf spoke, the company was not wanted. He had just been contemplating how relaxing it was with no one around. He debated for a moment what to do, he could turn and snap at the wolf or toy with him for a while. Of course his species would play a big role in how he toyed with him. He clenched his jaw, thoughts pouring through his mind and eventually he came to the decision that he would play with him.
His glowing fur turned a soft blue and he turned to look at the wolf. The fact that he was an unknown Yagi was a bit disturbing, they were strong, a Yagi with a pack behind him was a fearsome foe and at the moment he was not in the mood for war. He lifted his head to sniff the wolf’s scent and grinned. A loner Yagi was a different story.
“Why yes, yes it is” He said with a gleam in his eye, “Why not come deeper?”

He didn't know other wolves were capable of doing that. Did that mean he could too? He puffed his chest out, trying to look a bit more sturdy, as he shook the thought away when the breeze kicked the waves up farther. The humming of the nocturnal creatures hidden throughout the northern area seemed to be edging him on further as he took a cautious step towards the other wolf.
"I'm Crow..." he calmly replied, now a foot or so away he was knee deep in the dark hazy waters.

[scrolly:h(230),w(410),sy] A dark brown wolf, with thick yet ragged looking fur, entered the spring area, glad to be out of the bitter cold, even if it didn't affect him as much with his thick pelt. Damned cold, the Yagi thought viciously to himself. His bright and eerie orange eyes glowed in the dark, and he saw, to his dismay, that there were already two other wolves in the spring. He lowered his head, his large and pointed black horns gleaming in the dark as he bristled with hate: What kind of wolves were these to come here in the middle of the night? Lawson had counted on being alone, and hated to be disappointed. Patience, patience... The constant companion in his mind hissed.
The large Yagi rolled his eyes, then brightened as an idea struck him: His face twisted into a sadistic grin of insanity as his mind devised ways to make these nocturnal wolves pay for disturbing his nighttime escapades. He stood up, tall and proud, shaking off the snow that had accumulated on his back and short, stubbed tail that he was so proud of. He noticed that one of the wolves was a Yagi, with... He growled low to himself out of spite, then caught himself: It wouldn't do any good to give up the game so soon. Any Yagi with a long tail was disgusting to Lawson, but he plastered on the friendliest and most charming smile he could muster: Time for some fun... he mused to himself. That's more like it... The voice whispered, but Lawson was used to this inner conversation by now.
He stepped closer to the pool, showing himself to the two wolves and the large scar over his right eye was lit up for a moment by a patch of light from the spring. He eased himself into the water, and being a rather good swimmer, let the water go up to his muscled chest. He smiled at the two, a friendly one to lure their trust and banish any insecurities: Or instincts. "Good evening to the both of you. The spring is quite nice at this time of night, quiet I should say. My name is Kelsor, by the way." he lied, his voice smooth and the lie rolled easily off his tongue. He was used to this by now, and was eager to see where this would lead.[/scrolly]

Hazen chuckled at the Yagi’s response. This may not be the life-destroying games he was used to playing but it was still entertaining. The Yagi seemed a bit insecure and in shock by him. As Crow came deeper he walked backwards to make as if nothing had happened. The wolf would surely know that Hazen had walked backwards but all he was doing was tempting the wolf into deeper waters where he could then used his tricks of light to play tricks on the wolf.
”So Crow...” His mind immediately turned to the black birds that feasted on death, ”How old are you? Have you never seen a Lumen before?” He sent a few multicolour spirals reaching out towards the wolf, they were held in place by the water. Water was good for conducting light. He swirled the light around the Yagi, seemingly trapping him. It was somewhat eerie what he did but the rainbow-like turrets of light that were spread towards the wolf were meant to be calming and seem almost kind. He closed the light slowly behind the Yagi trying to make him come deeper.
The lights disappeared in strings as another Yagi approached and a look of irritation crossed Hazen’s face. He glared at the new comer for a few seconds, not long enough that either of the wolves noticed(hopefully). He plastered the same, calm and luring smile on his face. Oh why couldn’t he disguise himself as a female?
”Good evening” Was all he said, letting the words pout out of his mouth like honey. Thick and rich, as luring as he could be without making as if he were trying to lure them. He turned and began to walk deeper into the spring until he was so deep that only his head was visible. He looked back at the two, ”Come deeper” Was all he said, sending out turrets of blue light that matched his fur. In the dark it seemed as if the light and he were one.

These wolves seemed friendly, but his instincts were shouting in his head otherwise. The colorful waterworks Hazen had shown truly did amaze the Young Yagi he almost didn't hear him address him.
"Oh! I'm about 3 I suppose. I've been on my own for quite sometime now and so I've kind of lost track really." he took a few steps in watching the other Yagi approach them and step into the warming pool.
"Nice to meet you Kelsor, I'm Crow." he quickly noted that he was the same as him, but they had different horns and he only had a mere stump for a tail. Hmmm, why was that?[/scrolly]

[scrolly:h(230),w(410),sy] Lawson almost laughed out loud to himself: One of the benefits about being a liar was that he could quite easily see through lies, and the Lumen had his instincts going crazy, much like Lawson himself. He could see the other wolf was luring the stupid Yagi into the pool, and he also noticed the other Yagi, Crow he had said his name was, was beginning to grow suspicious. How delightfully interesting... His personal commentator added, and Lawson agreed: Tonight, there would be murder, or so he hoped.
His orange eyes reflected the lights in the pool, and he looked at the Lumen, a grudging respect in his eyes. Lawson was a skilled liar, and was glad to meet another wolf like himself, thinking that perhaps they could become partners in crime someday... Or night. He winked slowly at the Lumen, and nodded ever so slightly, indicating he knew what he was up too, and wasn't about to stop him. No, on the contrary, the twisted wolf would help a fellow criminal out. If the foolish Crow was gullible enough to be distracted by a light show, then he deserved to die, in Lawson's expert opinion. Lawson remained standing, keeping out of the way in case the Lumen pulled Crow into the water and drowned him.
"Well, it is a pleasure to meet you both. Crow, I'm a storyteller, and I was simply wondering why your tail isn't stubbed like most Yagi of my acquaintance. Not that there's anything wrong with that," he hastily added, even if inside Lawson was revolted: It was simply unnatural, he knew that some Yagi were born with long tails, but the parents of such unfortunate pups usually cut the tail to stubs, as was custom. This wolf must have no pride, because such a long tail was, in one word, disgusting. "I enjoy telling legends in particular, and wondered if you could perhaps explain this to me." he added. If the Lumen and him distracted Crow enough, perhaps the gullible wolf would meet an untimely death at the bottom of the spring.
Lawson nodded ever so slightly to the Lumen, indicating it was his turn now. [/scrolly]

He felt very nervous about how interested they were in hearing about them. And although he wasn't an exceptional lair he could tell when it seemed the air was waaay too friendly.
Going into the deep end with such wolves unnerved him so taking his leave to sit here made him feel a bit more comfortable where he could see them both. What was it about the other two that just seemed to make his fur crawl. At any rate he took interest in what Kelsor had asked him.
"You mean it's not supposed to be long?" Crow raised a inquired brow as he stood up and circled himself once or twice to see his long flowing tail. "I was born this way and considering my mother still had a long tail I figured it was just something you either had or didn't have." Crow thought himself lucky.[/scrolly]
