Narration "Talking" The shifting brown shape slunk carefully through the grasses, paws lightly touching the ground as the grasses parted for her path. Her ultraviolet eyes were locked on the prey in front of her, a simple buck grazing. Holding those eyes was a regal head, level with the ground below her black paws. After the distance was closed between the two, prey and predator, she leapt at the buck, snarling as she did so. Startled, the deer tried to run but only failed at his attempt as the wolf landed squarely on its back, claws digging into its shoulder blades. Her jaws closed on the deer’s neck, ivory teeth splitting the skin cleanly. In a swift motion he wolf snapped its neck and it fell to the ground. Smiling she dug her sharp teeth into the tough hide, tearing strips of meat from its bones.
Nova ate her fill, she left the carcass there. Some other animals could get it. She licked her lips, cleaning the blood off her maw. Trotting to the river she stood belly-deep in the water, and rolled over. The blood floated downstream as she walked out and shook off, her pelt glistening like diamond-speckles earth. Her black socks and muzzle stood out; they were narrow, with a graceful touch to them. Her legs were slender, hardly seeming able to hold her deep chest. Her eyes flickered for a moment, and the sky erupted with purple lightning. She smiled; the control was getting easier as time passed. The lupus walked over to a pile of boulders, and stood upon the top one dominantly. She was unaware that she was on pack land, though she did scent other wolves as she walked into the meadow. She lifted her narrow muzzle to the sky and let out a howl rumbling deep within her chest. The sound of her call sent lightning sparks across the ground from her feet, not harming the flora around her.
Waiting, she hoped some lone wolf would find her, so she could have a little fun and possibly a battle; she had lacked on for some time now. Furrowing her brow she gazed around, her violet eyes scanning every inch of her surroundings for movement.

Though, she would not have eaten it, simply knocked it out and fed off of its life force until she was full, then let it be and let it run off once it had become conscious again. Her white fur prickled uneasily as the female tore into the stag, ripping it apart and chowing down on it for her own satisfaction. She would confront this wolf, no doubt, but only for Alliance purposes. As she would have done before she had joined the Alliance, she would have turned herself invisible and attacked the girl. She held no mercy at this point and her nerves were frayed on the ends. She was ready to snap now, but she made sure she kept her cool.
Evelyn bended the light rays around her and turned herself invisible. Even if she were to approach the female face first, she wouldn't be seen. A coy smile worked its way onto the Lumen's lips and she took herself out of the underbrush. She followed the Lupus closely, watching as she washed herself off in the river, then caused sparks to bounce around on the ground just by letting out a howl. Evelyn's brow furrowed almost angrily. Was she trying to be found out? Perhaps she aimed to get herself in a fight. The Lumen had no problem with that, but she would not engage the female here or at any time unless it involved training. She walked closer to the girl, still invisible, then revealed herself, staring the Lupus down with her harsh crimson eyes.
The pebbles that laid around her feet changed colors with her emotions. Red, blue, green, red, blue, green. This continued until Evelyn could gain control of her emotions and the stones finally settled on a soft shade of green. "Do you make it a habit to hunt, kill, and feed on others' lands then bathe in the sacred river? Or are you just trying to get yourself killed?" Evelyn's question was simple and she demanded an answer from the female, she would not leave until she got one. She continued to speak, "My name is Evelyn. I am the Master Fighter of the Philia Alliance. Tell me, stranger: what business do you have on my pack's lands?" The Lumen blinked her ruby eyes once, waiting patiently for an answer from this trespasser.

Narration "Talking" Nova tensed her body as she felt movement near her. Because of this, she wasn’t surprised when a sparkly little lumen appeared in front of her. She held her piercing gaze level, burning them into the crimson ones before her. The silence that hung was almost electric. She smiled to herself in her mind; she would not appear gentle to this fighter. She thought about her words and what she would say; she does not like to waste words.
No I do not. I do apologize; I did not realize your limits and boundaries, nor how sacred any of this is to you.
Her gaze did not waver or falter in any way. She stood rigid, looking back at the lumen levelly.
Nice to meet you Evelyn; can I call you sparkly? I do not mean it offensively I have just never seen a lumen. And My Name is Ultraviolet Nova. Call me what you wish; UV, Nova, Violet I really don’t care. And I have no business on your lands – well had none. But now that you mention a pack; what does it take for a fighter to join?
Her head tilted and she looked back curiously. She had spoken her mind and that is it. She felt no hostility; although she was slightly apologetic. A pack was something she could use; though if this wolf wanted to attack her she would gladly fight back to prove a point.

Not smart, whether it be out of curiosity or not, it was not only rude, but was proposed as a challenge to the commanding wolf in the situation. In this case, Evelyn was the commanding wolf, seeing as this stranger was on her pack's lands. The Lumen had jurisdiction here and the female did not. She was tempted to tell her of this, but said nothing as the Lupus continued to speak. With each word, the Master Fighter felt more and more at ease with her presence. It seemed that she was not here to cause trouble and that she had other purposes. The 200 year old fighter could deal with that. It was simpler to confront a wolf who had good intentions rather than bad.
Evelyn gave her a gentle smile, tone lightening, "Very well. Forgive me for my hostility. It is how I treat all trespassers until I have a good reason to treat them with kindness and respect." She nodded her head a few times and sat back on her haunches, poising herself. "Yes, Riala's Creek is sacred to our pack. Bathing in it is forbidden, but drinking from it is allowed. Besides, I was only testing you. This is not Riala's Creek, this is just a flow-off of Riala's Creek. This patch of water is not as sacred." Her tail wagged slowly, brushing against the rocks with ease and with delicacy. She read the female's movements carefully, making sure there was nothing she intended to do here. If she did, Evelyn would kill her on the spot. She certainly had the power and the experience to do so.
The Lumen perked an eyebrow at what she was asked to be called. Sparkly? That was a new one, she had never received a nickname quite like that in her entire life. She was called Eve or Ev most of the times, but nothing quite like Sparkly. She laughed heartily, "Call me Sparkly if you wish. I don't mind. It's a pleasure to meet you, Nova." Her ears twitched when she asked what it took to join the pack. She was happy at that point. New members meant more forces and more activity. "If you wish to join, all you have to do is ask. The Alliance is an equal pack and anyone can accept new members, but new members must be approached with caution. If you attack, then that could be punishable. You said a fighter, correct?"
Evelyn paused a moment, already knowing the answer. "You can enter the Philia Alliance as a Fighter and we would be glad to have you. However, as equal as the pack is, we do have wolves that must be reported to. The hunters report to Cyra, the Master Hunter. The Fighters report to me, the Master Fighter. Cyra and I usually report to Phoenix, the Docent, but if she isn't available, we report to the Female Guide, Keinvarii, or the Male Guide, Tiatsu Keeper. Either way, we are the ones who keep things organized and running smoothly in the pack. Other than that, everyone has a say in everything." Still sitting upon her haunches, Evelyn changed the colors of the stones around her through an array of colors, waiting for Nova to answer her little speech.

Narration "Talking" Nova sat calmly, listening to the lumen talk. She spoke wisely; were lumen the breed to last a billion years? She chuckled in her mind. Her fur bristled at the fact that Sparkly had lied to her about the sacred creek. Lying was the only thing she would not tolerate. Nodding to each of her words, she spoke nothing. Her mind churned at the thought of equality; maybe she would find someone in here to trust… but that wasn’t ever going to happen. She couldn’t trust a wolf to save her life. UV rolled her eyes at the ramble; what a waste of good time. She did like the fighter idea though.
The lupus sat quietly waiting for a response from her own mind. Yes? No? caring for a pack was a huge responsibility, and she wasn’t much one to share because of her lack of trust. Fighting, though, she could handle. She nodded approvingly to the lumen, ignoring her little stone-color trick. After a moment of processing she stood at her full height, almost the same as the opposer, and lowered her forehalf in a bow.
Reporting for duty, Evelyn.
