Orivir had faced all kinds of dangers and thrills, far too many in the Eremus' own opinion anyway. He had certainly learnt a fair amount though, and that had of course been the main reason to begin his travels. It may not have been the most wonderful of times but he had achieved his goals. He'd met other species, seen all kinds of strange lands. He of course still had plenty more to learn, hadn't even toured the entirety of the areas, not that he ever wished to in some cases. He hadn't even ventured to each key area as he had passed through, the North had certainly proven to be quite a treacherous place and not liking the snow much at all, he had shamefully skipped that portion of the journey very early on. It had at least been his last point though, before the plan had been to return once more back to the familiarity of the desert.
Not all of his travelling had been bad though. Although a slightly odd meeting, Orivir had enjoyed spending some time in the company of another Eremus and he had told Nepara that he would return. Back to the swamp it was to see how she was getting along. For now this was his only goal. It alone was quite the achievement for the male who normally planned everything out quite carefully, just what he would do at the swamp, how long he would stay, Ori had no idea at all, simply fulfilling a promise was the first and currently only step.
And so here he was back into the lands that belonged to Nepara. He was glad to note that her scent could still be found strongly around the borders, and although he knew the female, out of politeness and respect to her and the pack, he didn't trespass. Instead the sandy male paused on the edges, far closer than he had ventured to any pack after an incident in the jungle, lifted his head and let out a howl, calling for Nepara.

Lady luck was shining on her and the great spirit had heard her prayers. Leo had returned and she had gained another member or two, their numbers would be strong soon. They would make it through the winter hopefully now.
Said eremus was making her daily rounds for the border so she would not have random strays come in without purpose. Then, as luck would have it again, she saw a familiar sandy figure nearby that howled a familiar tune in her name. "Orivir!" she panted merrily as she kicked her hooves up in the air and trotted briskly towards the male. Wither or not he heard her, she wanted him to know she was there. Her tail curled over her back as it wagged. Her ears flopping up and down slightly with each bob of her body.
Unexpectedly, she dashed and jumped at the other eremus, her intentions no more than a friendly pounce. She giggled as her limbs curled up and twisted funny, Her tail relaxing and falling to the ground as her ears snapped back up and erect. "How are you Ori?" she mused, her face brightening up and blushing slightly as Nepara barked with joy to see her friend.
"What brings you back to the swamp?" the female questioned suddenly, her head cocking to one side, her gaze steady on the other eremus, her tail slowly wagging with anticipation again.

At first he gave a smile in greeting, ready of course to speak, though the expression soon changed to worry as it didn't seem that Nepara was actually going to stop. Before he had the chance to speak, tell her to slow the impact was made and Ori was sent tumbling backwards from her pounce. Whilst not maleficent in any manner, the act still sent him into a brief moment of shock as the bubbly female continued on in her greeting.
How was he? Well perhaps a little dazed at the moment though he was too polite to consider informing her of that fact, worried perhaps that she would take it badly and worry herself. No everything would be ok soon enough. "I am well thank you. How are you Nepara? And your pack, how is that doing now?" It had of course been a rather lonely pack for the Eremus back at that point and in all honesty Ori did feel a little bad for leaving her. He was back now though, just as he had told her he would be, though perhaps she seemed to have forgotten that little deal.
"I told you I'd come back and visit." Orivir responded simply as he found his way back to his feet now. The smile had also already found its way back onto his face by this point, without him even realising. Nepara was certainly quite a strange one, though he had quickly found he could relax in her company, even though they still barely knew each other. The way Nepara acted you'd think they'd been much closer friends once upon a time, though in Ori's careful mind such a bond had yet to be properly formed.

She was just happy to see he was back on the pack's lands. As silly as that sounded for a traveling loner. "The pack? Oh yes the pack!" she giggled as she stood up now, her body correcting itself except for her legs wanting to shrink. "Swell, I had another old friend of mine come back from a long ordeal and a completely new member as well." the white eremus began before waiting for Orivir to regain his composure.
"So you did, my bad, though I expect this visit will be much longer than your last." the bubbly eremus giggled and bounded around like a lovesick puppy before pausing and tensing. This was not the way an Alpha should act, she thought. she cleared her throat and tried to sit regally with proper posture, but her face kept wanting to let out laughter. "I mean, it's nice to see you again Ori... you may stay as long as you like as long as I know you are here and when you decide to leave. You must stay for a bit and tell some of us all about your travels." Nepara insisted.
Her tail curled back up on her rump as she stood and waited to see what the sandy wolf would do now. Was he simply here for a quick hello or did he plan on maybe even eventually joining her pack? She felt her body heat up in his presence, she was fire and he was like ice. Always calm and careful while she was reckless and bubbly. It was like they completed each other so well. Something told her it was wrong to think this way though.
Was it because up until recently she thought leo could have been gone, possibly even dead? Was there something beneath the surface between her and the fire lupus? Either way, she would love to see more of the other eremus around.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][tr][atrb=background,http://i453.photobucket.com/albums/qq254/Eldarwen5/Wonder%20Why/Tables/Ori1Mid.png]Orivir thought that even the most unobservant wolf right now could tell that Nepara was rather excitable to say the least. It was rather nice though to see a familiar face at last and one that greeted him so enthusiastically, the sandy male certainly thought little else of the energetic behaviour, merely hoped that his own calmer greeting wouldn't put her down a little. He simply had never been quite so bouncy, not even as a pup if he was correct.
He had no experience running a pack but only two members didn't sound like a particularly promising start. His family one had of course been larger than that, though in all honesty he had never once questioned how long it had taken his parents to reach the numbers they had. He certainly wasn't going to push any negativity onto Nepara though, she seemed very happy and he didn't want to dampen her mood. "Well hopefully it continues to grow." He simply commented with a warm smile. It perhaps wasn't the best thing he could have said, though he tried in the short space of time he had, and simply went with the well-wishes.
Had he been one for joking, Orivir may have pretended to have been hurt that she had forgotten him so easy. As it was though he was a bit more serious than that, certainly much more so in comparison to the white Eremus. She suddenly stopped her bouncing though and tried to sit still, even then however Ori still looked like the far more serious of the pair. "Of course I will." He had no reason to rush off now, nowhere specifically to actually go.
As of yet Ori had thought nothing of his feelings towards the other Eremus. She was certainly pleasant company, though anything else would have needed much more time and care to work out. Chances were if he had even had the slightest realisation that Nepara may like him or vice versa he wouldn't have returned to the swamp so soon. Rather unlike him however he had no plan next, whether returning to the desert or staying here with Nepara, surely that needed further investigating?

"I just know while your here more wolves will slowly pop up to hear about your travels and see the sights!" Nepara mostly referred to their language and way of showing spirit in the night. "You haven't had a night's excitement till you've stayed with the nyx Ori! You just have to see the nyx at night!" the white eremus smiled widely as they slowly trotted towards the swampy depths of the pack lands. "I suppose I have a story in itself to tell you, huh? You didn't exactly stay long enough to get to know me or the pack.. but I would love it if you did.." she whispered the last part, hoping he didn't catch it or at least take it the wrong way. He seemed like a nice and cautious male, they needed more male members. She thought about it for a moment and the idea popped into her mind.
"Ya know, you could join the sono nyx, feel free to sleep on the idea though. I know it sounds sudden, but were much more lenient here then at any other pack you'll meet I'm sure. Were not based on duty or strict responsibility. We just strive to do what we do best and respect those who will teach us how to reach that goal." when talking about the pack, nepara felt like the sun was penetrating through the clouds just to shine on her in that moment. Maybe it really was? She looked up and squinted her eyes a bit then laughed to herself. She looked back to see if Ofiver was still following and what his thoughts were on pack life. Even if he tried to play a "I travel and don't like to stay in one place" card, she could easily counter that with the quirky ways of the nyx's system.
Then soon reached a clearing and it was then Nepara knew they were in the heart of the packlands. Memories flooded back to her of her and Leo after the big fire on the prairie. How she daydreamed about her pack and caught a bunch of fish in the waters as she told Leo about it. Then it hit her, this was near that spot and she had not eaten yet. Her stomach grumbled in annoyance as she looked eagerly at the water below. She gave Orivir a quizzical look as she changed the subject. "Ever catch a fish before? Their quite tasty if I do say so myself. Though I'm not the best at catching them, so don't laugh." she giggled as she jumped into the swamps small shallow rivers between the islands of mushy grassland.

There was a smile upon his face at her enthusiasm, he simply couldn't help himself however he didn't quite share the same view. He doubted anyone would come to listen to his stories and in all honesty, he wasn't sure he wanted to tell them to everyone. Nepara perhaps, but no one else, well maybe family if he saw them again. "I don't think my travels will be that exciting for others." He shared his thoughts anyway, though his smile didn't falter, for now he was comfortable.
The nyx? What on earth where they? Apparently something that Nepara thought was interesting. Well he was planning on sticking around for a little at least, so he would certainly see them this time around whatever they were. "What are the nyx?" He decided to ask now anyway, though he figured he would have to wait until nightfall to find out for himself, at least to fully understand anyway.
Nepara may have whispered the last part of her sentence, though Ori managed to hear it all the same. Fortunately it wasn't taken in any other way than simply Nepara's general bubbly personality. For an observant and cautious wolf he was missing a fair amount around Nepara really, certainly not quite himself. To relax a little more would certainly do the worrier a little bit of good though. "Well I plan on staying longer this time, so you'll get the chance to tell me all you want to." The Eremus smiled as his bright eyes glanced towards her, walking along at her side.
As it stood, Ori was quite content not to travel too much anymore. He'd had a fair amount of exploration and adventure, more so than perhaps anyone ever thought Orivir would, himself included in that too actually. As for joining a pack, well he honestly hadn't ever thought that far ahead at all, he hadn't even considered whether he was going back to the desert and his birth pack, he truly had no plan at all. Nepara's question suddenly made him aware of that, and did indeed shroud him in thought.
He continued to follow silently behind Nepara, his mind already battling over the decision despite the fact Nepara had already told him he could sleep on it. Being part of a pack would certainly be nice, and Nepara was someone he could see himself getting along with, no matter how different they were from one and other. This wasn't the desert though that a part of him did still long for, the familiar comfort of the lands he had grown up in and to make such a decision so quickly knowing very little about the Sono Nyx and of course the land it was upon.
He hadn't said anything else though the silence was suddenly broken by Nepara questioning if he had caught fish. Orivir had seen fish, though never been close enough to the water to catch one, nor had he ever actually eaten one either. His thought process had been interrupted for now though, and he looked towards the pale female as she jumped into the water. "I won't laugh" He promised her. She would surely do a better job than Ori who hadn't even set foot in the water and wasn't actually planning on it either. "I've never had fish." He shared that little fact instead.

You seem like the wolf that has a good head on his shoulders..." she blurted out as she turned back to face him, a sparkle in her blue eyes. She began to wonder what all they would do together if he did decide to stay and join her pack. She imagined them jumping from island to island and hopping over dead tree trunks and playing games, all of which Orivir probably would not actually do, maybe she could teach him a thing or two about loosening up more. And to her he could teach her about being more responsible and cautious maybe? Help her make better decisions? The possibilities seemed endless, then his voice spoke up again and she was snapped back to reality.
"Oh, the nyx? Its hard to explain, it would be easier if I showed you. Ya know? But they don't come out during the day so we'll have to wait until later or another day I suppose.." she barked merely as she let her tail wag in the wind like a propeller. Then she remembered what she was doing in the shallow water again. The eremus felt the tickle of something wet and scaly along her legs. "FISH!" Nepara jumped around and splashed in the water lashing and snapping her jaws playfully as she giggled. "Here! Catch!" in one swift movement she tossed the sea creature onto the dry land only a foot from the male eremus on shore. 'Not too shabby eh? Oooe! Better catch it before it squirms back into the river!" Nepara called out as it jumped and flopped around for water.

He wasn't one to take compliments too well, and certainly wasn't one to mention such good points about himself either. "I wouldn't really say that." He responded simply. "But thank you, I do like you as well, I would like to get to know you better." He didn't care to venture a guess on her personality just yet, though he did know so far that although she was rather different to himself, Ori did find her company pleasant. A smile still present upon his face proving that fact.
As Nepara explained the nyx, Ori simply gave a small nod of his head in understanding. "Well that sounds like a wonderful plan then, whenever you are able to I would like for you to show me." He was still in no rush to leave and so he wouldn't rush Nepara to show him just what the nyx were either.
Nepara suddenly leapt at the water with a shout of one word; fish. There was a lot of splashing and giggling and then suddenly it seemed she was successful in her attempt and flung a fish in his direction. He knew nothing about fishing but was impressed none the less of her demonstration. Ori himself wasn't keen on water though and although still and shallow didn't quite feel like joining her for an attempt. "I thought that was really good. Well done." He responded and then followed her words, picking up the squirming fish and simply stood there, wondering what he was supposed to do next.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,600,true][tr][atrb=background,http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q21/winkatuck/bg.png]She came back onto dry lands and shook her white fur of any murky water and laid another fish down next to him as water droplets dripped from her maw. "Thanks, I've had plenty of time to practice. So you went everywhere? Already? I don't suppose you met a Kukkien didja? Oh, I've always wanted to meet one! Well, besides another eremus.. which was you." she winked playfully as she laid down next to him and clawed at the fish and began to nibble at the silver flesh.
"I wonder if my friend leo would like you? I betcha he would.." she smiled brightly, her tail wagging again, as if it never knew otherwise. Subconsciously, she felt the need to be close to something or someone. She nuzzled his neck fur as she licked it tenderly. "You're so silly Ori, letting your fur get so messy. If I was a careless about it like you, I'd be a black wolf by now. Are you sure you're not a white eremus like me?" she giggled lightheartedly.
"Hey Ori... you're from the desert too, right? I mean, my pack was from there.." she looked a bit upset suddenly about mentioning her old home pack. "I dunno if I'd ever go back, even if given the chance. But I bet they wouldn't believe me now, leading my own pack, heh! No one believed I could do anything useful..." she frowned as her ears and tail drooped, her fish only half gone. She had never told anyone about where she was from or what she did up until now. She still felt like she was all on her own. But Orivir, he made her fell like she belonged and like she had purpose. That she could do anything when he was near her. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to confide in someone.
She glanced back at him and glanced away for a moment before locking her own blue eyes on his. "Can I tell you a secret, one I've never told anyone else before? You have to promise you won't tell anyone. Okay?" Nepara felt like her eyes might just tear up and cry a river thinking about it. Would she have to guts to tell even him? "And...and that you won't think any different of me.." she looked away again, leaning against him for warmth. | |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][tr][atrb=background,http://i453.photobucket.com/albums/qq254/Eldarwen5/Wonder%20Why/Tables/Ori1Mid.png]Nepara soon returned from the water with another fish and unlike Ori, simply accepted the compliment that was fired her direction before moving sharply onto another topic. Mimicking her actions, he laid down to start eating the fish, the taste he quickly discovered quite different to anything he'd had before. He wasn't immediately sure if he liked it or not. Before taking another taste however he opted to answer Nepara.
"Not everywhere." The Eremus answered, shaking his head gently. "I didn't really get to the north was rather cold, those big jagged things were very daunting. And what is all that white stuff?" He certainly could have learnt to cope with the icy conditions as Nepara had, and though the desert had gotten cold at night, he had always preferred the warmth, certainly not snow. He had decided to return here instead.
"What's a kukkien?" He hadn't gotten the opportunity to meet one, though he had met a variety of other species, including the mortui not that he had dared find out what that mafia wolf had actually been. He wasn't normally quick to jump to conclusions but something about the scenario just hadn't felt right at all.
He returned to his fish as Nepara commented upon whether her friend would like him. Ori of course would have wished to know what said friend was like before any conclusions could actually be made. They would need to meet to find this out for themselves though Ori could only assume that Nepara would introduce him at some point.
As for his fur, well indeed Ori hadn't really tended much to himself lately, concentrating instead upon his journey. Even prior to it he hadn't exactly been the most prideful of wolves. He kept himself clean when he had little else to do, but on his journey, well he'd had plenty of things to do, grooming hadn't been as often a task as it should have been. "No, I've never been white." He responded, shaking his head slightly at the comment, the nuzzling stealing his attention and briefly making him unaware of the fact she had only been joking. In fact he wasn't fully aware what he ought to do and simply remained still.
Suddenly the mood changed and she brought up the desert with a little sadness. The sandy wolf gave a nod of his head in response and allowed her to continue with whatever it was she wished to say. "I don't think my family would believe I actually travelled." The last they'd seen of him he had spent an awful long time simply deciding whether or not to leave the pack. The same had then occurred upon leaving the desert until eventually he found himself on his way and now back here, surprisingly still with no plan. Now that would certainly shock them.
The topic perhaps jumped again, Ori couldn't be too sure given the fact he had no idea what she actually wished to tell him. To keep something a secret was certainly a promise that he believed he could keep, his mouth simply had to remained closed, as for the thinking differently of her, well that could depend upon what it was she actually had to tell him. "I promise I won't tell anyone." He promised simply, noting that she seemed rather upset as she looked away again. "What's the matter Nepara?" He asked, concern in his voice lowering and twisting his head slightly to attempt to look at her face once more. His nose gently nuzzled her for a moment, she obviously thought it appropriate behaviour and he simply wished to comfort her.
