a l i c e . f o y e r The morning sun slowly arose to linger above the half-way bare tree tops as the cool air hung like curtains. Yet she wasn't shivering, nor was she hardly cold. The humidity the air could still poses in such weather was astounding in her mind, and as the water level nearly brushed the ground which she stepped resulted of Alice prancing as far as she could from the liquid substance. Her stomach clenched with a sickening feeling while the female registered where she was, near water. She really couldn't believe it, but now that a new life has begun changes in her life style had to be made, staring with getting used to being around such a soggy area. Crouching behind a rather large and empty log the cael surveyed the meadow wearily. She was never going to get used to water. She was never going to get used to living in such a place. Oh, where is my optimism now, she huffed to herself. Crawling to her right Alice entered the log, fitting right into the inside with her head poking out at one side. It was warmer there, protected by something, but it didn't feel safe enough as she knew how close one of her greatest fear was .Twitching inside the log, she readjusted her resting posture, cushioning her right side with her tail. Later she chose upon trying to relax herself, closing her eyes peacefully.
Though Alice was still fully alert of the gentle sound of the flowing water and the lives of everything around her. The birds had begun to sing, at least a couple that had wondered into the swap and truth to be told it was not helping her relax, which was quite unusual. The female enjoyed mostly every creatures company, but somehow she wished everything would quiet down for a little while. After only getting little sleep last night she really wouldn't mind getting a morning nap until the sun became fully visible, then she would continue her daily exploring.

Crystal couldn't decide if she disliked the water or the part where she stepped into the water. She hadn't really had anything against water at first but now it was hard for her to maneuver in and she hated the wet clingy fur that accompanied the wetness and mud. She stepped into another puddle and muddy water splashed up onto the fur on her stomach. So much for her attempt to stay clean. She gave up on clean and decided she liked it better when she really did have mud and sticks and leaves all over her body. She sploshed down into the water and rolled in the mud next to it. Then she walked casually up to some grass and twigs and rolled in that for a while. After that while she got up and trotted over to a log and sat next to it. She still hadn't gotten used to the smell of her new home and if she had she would of smelled the nearby wolf. She laid down right next to the log the cael was resting in with her head down and facing the log. She saw the wolf and freaked out. She screamed frantically and ran away from the log but so she could still see and hear the wolf in the log. "Who are you?" Crystal asked starting to calm down from the initial shock. "Oh, wait. You just a figment of my imagination aren't you?" she assumed she was just insane.

a l i c e . f o y e r Alice felt like she lay on the rather rough bark for ages, but she certainly didn't feel like getting up just yet. Though she knew at once she'd need to move at some time or the next day she'd be as snappy as ever, experience had thought her that. But over time, as the day began to brighten the girl had fallen asleep. Almost immediately floating into a dream about giant mushrooms. She feel into a deeper sleep, deep enough for her not to hear another wolf walk into the meadow and lye down next to her log. So naturally when the newcomer had realized she wasn't the only one there she screamed, resulting the cael's sleeping state not to last any longer. Abruptly Alice was pulled out of a mysterious dream, opening her eyes all too quickly and upon seeing a light colored figure she screamed, freaking out herself. She immediately tired to bolt, forgetting that she was indeed trapped inside solid wood, so instead of standing her head collided with the hard texture. A loud thump sounded, an "Ouch!" followed as stars appeared to circle around her head when she unsteadily climbed out from the log. She hadn't caught what the other wolf had said, only heard enough to identify them as another female.
After finally getting all of her limbs out the girl sat down, shaking her head to rid of the dizzy feeling. The cael turned her eyes on the other wolf, catching her thick, light tan coat with her pink-purple eyes--that Alice thought looked pretty extraordinary--and the hooves that ended her paws. Another eremus like Nepara. Still feeling light-headed the champagne wolf lay back down, placing a paw onto her throbbing head. "And you are?" She tried not to sound as irritated as she was.

Crystal heard the wolf's Ouch! and jumped. "Oh! Figment of Imagination! Are you okay!?!?!" she gasped and ran over to the cael. "I'm so sorry! I didn't. . ." her fear washed over her. She had been relaxed just a minute ago and now she was freaking out about the other wolf. And you are? the other wolf asked her. "Huh what? Oh! I'm Crystal. I'm so sorry." she repeated her apology. She took one look at the cael's irritated face and it was apparent she was more irritated than she let on. "I'm sorry. . . I. . ." she apologized yet again. She looked at the cael. "So who are you?" her tone became dull and bored, her already being tired of the topic. She went back to the log and looked at it closely. She wormed her way into the log to see if she could fit. She could, but it was too tight for her and so she squirmed back out. "Were you sleeping in there?" she asked the cael. "If you were I don't see how you could of possibly. . ." her eye twitched in an awkward way. "Oww!" a piece of bark or twig rubbed against her skin through her fur. She whimpered slightly. "Owwww. . ." she moaned again. She went over and sat facing the cael.

a l i c e . f o y e r Figment of Imagination, what? The cael was confused for a second until she collected herself a bit more, "I'm real if you meant that, you aren't imagining me ... at least I think you aren't. I can see you too. And I'm alright, I'm alright," She repeated, "Don't worry about it. It could happen to anyone," A small curl to the edge of her lips was displayed. As much as she tried to smile it was hard with the circling world. I'm Crystal. I'm so sorry. She watched the eremus say then continue, "Really, I'm fine, just a little dizzy. I'm Alice by the way," She answered her question, finally sitting down around a wolf from the log, facing it's entrance. Crystal lowered herself into the tiny space, but quickly backed out having noticed how crapped it was. "Were you sleeping in there?" Alice tilted her head to the side, looking from the log to the other wolf before answering, "Well, I was supposed to be taking a nap--I didn't get much sleep last night--but I may have fallen asleep for a while."
The pain in her head was beginning to soften, which was good news, though the cael lay down, brushing her paw over her head, feeling the area. That's gonna leave a bump, She thought, then quickly sat back up watching the lighter coated female. Her moaning caught her aback, but that was only until she realized that something stuck to her fur and instantly a sympathetic look was on her face, "Umm, do you live here?" Alice didn't know what else to ask at the current situation.

The other wolf explained that she was fine and that she wasn't actually a figment of her imagination. She introduced herself as Alice. "Alice." Crystal made a mental note to herself. "Well, I was supposed to be taking a nap--I didn't get much sleep last night--but I may have fallen asleep for a while." the other wolf explained her situation answering her question. She gnawed at the twig, or bark, or whatever it was that was attacking her skin. She finally pulled it out and along with it a gigantic wad of her fur came out. "Mrmph!" she exclaimed with the tuft still in her mouth. She spit the fur in a pile next to her and kicks it around some with her front left paw. She yawned even though she wasn't really tired. "Umm, do you live here?" the other wolf asked her changing the subject abruptly. "Yeah, I guess so. . . I met Nepara and she said I could stay here so yeah. . . what about you? Do you live here?" Crystal asked not really interested in her answer but feeling like she should ask. She scratched under her neck and rubbed the tender and sore spot she had from the missing fur.

a l i c e . f o y e r ooc: Sorry for making you wait so long for my reply (a really lame post, I know, sorry for that too), I was really busy ...
If there might have been something more interesting than the tan eremus Alice would have turned her attention on it, but as there was nothing else she remained to watch as the other female attacked the wood-thing stuck in her coat, pulling her own fur at the same time. She smiled inwardly at her attempts, guessing it was funny to watch from this side of the eye, though not daring to show her smile literally on her lips in case Crystal thought it was rude. But when the her company yawned her bright mood swung into a light worry, wondering if she was boring her with her presence or anything else.
"Do you live here?" The eremus asked her, rather forced if Alice could say that. She still wasn't sure if the other one cared to be with her at the moment, or had better things to do, but nevertheless she remained to show a more cheerful mood on the outside, nodding a bit too enthusiastically at her question, "Yes, I do. Nepara also let me stay, I joined her pack, I guess you know about that already, though I haven't gotten a ... noble rank yet. Still trying to find my 'talent'." It was unlike for the cael to be out of words to say, but now it seemed she'd reached a point where she tried lame questions to keep herself busy, "Sooo, um, you like it here so far? It did you travel a long way here?"

Alice responded to Crystal question almost too enthusiastically as if she picked up on Crystal's boredom. Crystal realized she had picked up. "Oh. I'm so sorry. I'm not bored with you, I just. . " she shrugged genuinely. She didn't know what she was bored with really but she was bored. Alice responded by explaining she is in this pack and that she was still trying to find her talent and didn't have a "noble" rank. Then Alice asked her if she liked it here and if she traveled far to get here. "I. . . guess I like it. It's a little wet for my taste but I'll live. . . And, to be honest I don't know if I traveled far to get here. I came from the desert--" she tried hard not to think about the desert that much and get into her history but she did have to swallow hard to continue talking. " but our water source dried up so we tried to leave and. . . I guess I just don't really know where I am and where I used to be." she finished her not in depth summary of her history. She managed a weak smile and laid down on her stomach. Her darker fur scraped the ground and she wondered if it was darker because of the sun or because of the dirt. "I guess I should get used to the swampyness, huh?" she asked trying to clear the awkwardness from the air. She chuckled nervously as her fear slowly started to dissolve. This wolf wasn't the nicest wolf she had met based on first impressions, but then again, first impressions are also very tricky. She had met this wolf at an awkward time and in an awkward way. She had woken this wolf up and made it hit its head on a log. She was sorry but she was also scared of this wolf.
OOC: It's fine! I post short replies every time! (Not on purpose of course. . .)

a l i c e . f o y e r ooc: oh. my. goodness! i am so terribly sorry for making you wait two months for such a short reply. i life is really hectic now, not to mention christmas is now in. i will try to be a lot more active. will you forgive me? i hope you didn't loose your muse for this post.
Air seemed to be pressured around them—at least the Cael thought so—she suddenly reined her joyfulness a little when Crystal spoke about boredom. Alice jerked her head to one side, then the other lightly, indicating it was all okay. She didn't want the she-wolf feel more unconformable around her; it was one of the things she disliked. The happier the rest where, the happier she was herself and well, this conversation wasn't really going with much ease.
"I ... guess I like it. It's a little wet for my taste, but I'll live ... and, to be honest I don't know if I traveled far to get here. I come from the desert—" At that the purple tinted ears perked up, clearly interested in what they where hearing. The Desert: a foreign world to her mind. It was a place she hadn't seen, merely told a couple of stories about. Told to be heated, dry and bare, but some said it was full of life if you looked in the right place. Whatever they told the young puppy, she wanted to see everything herself. It had always been the kind of wolf that believed what she saw. Tales could only make a terrain sound more fascinating, unless of course they weren't positive. A pair of gemstones roamed to read the expression the Eremus was wearing, as she continued to finish the short lived summary, "But our water source dried up so we tried to leave ... I guess I just don't know where I am and where I used to be." A small 'o' was formed by Alice's lips, disappointed that Crystal didn't explain more, but then again, who was she to pry? Obviously her past troubled the young one and she was not going to push the case. She understood how the pink-eyed female felt. Even if her own history wasn't particularly an interesting one, she never knew her real parents, which occasionally brought emotions filled with worry and hope. Worrying that they'd left her because she did something wrong. Hopeful with thoughts that there might me a chance to meet them. Her mind swam back to reality after floating images of her most memorable memories and quickly returned a genuine smile, this time respect filling her aura. Now that they were both at the same eye level, Alice felt a little better, almost as she understood this wolf more than how much she'd found out about her. "I guess I should get used to the swampyness, huh?" Crystal chuckled nervously, so the water-wolf mirrored, but more freely. "Mhm," she mused gently aloud. "You know I never enjoyed anything to do with water, still don't like really, so I'm still trying to understand how I got myself so deep in the mud," The female got lost in another wave of daydreams, glass freezing on her eyes. Iris weaving in and out, her friends, those cherished moments in life.
Approximately half a minute passed—though it might have seemed longer—when Alice's vision focused on the face in front of her. "Oops, I'm sorry. I tend to do that—get lost in my thoughts," The girl mumbled, turning away from Crystal in embarrassment. "Hey, um, as we are both here, basically with nothing to do, would you like to play something or just walk?" It seemed the Eremus was tight on words, talking wouldn't do too much good in their relationship; maybe a small game would lighten the heavy mood. She turned back timidly, pulling on a small smile, keeping her newfound excitement bottled up, just in case, it might scare the other.

Crystal didn't live with water in the desert obviously and so she wasn't sure about it. When she had been in water before it wasn't her favorite thing but she didn't mind it either. Alice seemed to have stronger feelings against water. Crystal looked at Alice and nodded. Crystal wasn't sure how she ended up here either and it seemed the two wolves were very similar yet very different. It was quiet for a while and Alice had a glassy look in her eyes. Crystal knew that Alice was thinking about something else and not paying attention anymore but Crystal didn't mind, she had similar moments. Alice finally realized that Crystal was just sitting there waiting. Alice explained that she did that often, gets lost in her thoughts, and apologized. Crystal shrugged but Alice probably didn't see it when Alice turned away from Crystal in embarrassment. Crystal smiled to herself. "I do that too. . ." Crystal giggled quietly. Alice suggested they should walk or play a game as they were both there with nothing to do. "Oh. Yeah sure. If you want me to." Crystal accepted the invitation. "You know any good games?" She asked slightly excitedly. Alice turned back a little and smiled slightly. "The only game I know is touch and run and I've never played so I'm not sure if it's any fun." Crystal stretched and curled her tail. She looked at her hooves and then back to Alice. She chuckled nervously. OOC: Heh heh. It's fine that you were gone for a while but I missed the role play!

a l i c e . f o y e r ooc: three days! faster then i before. XD but, eh, short post. more will come in the next one.
The more Alice found out about Crystal, the more similarities she found in her, which in her world was a positive aspect. And the relief that flooded her when the Eremus admit she occasionally got lost in days-dreams just brought another smile to the champagne face. How time could heal friendship, not that they had anything to heal … well, maybe a little, but at least it brought the sign of a growing friendship. The Cael hoped that Crystal would officially become her friend soon, as in, she would agree to it as well, as Alice considered basically all the wolves in she met in her life so far her friends.
Alice nodded eagerly once the other female accepted her invitation, already getting excited and trying to listen as Crystal continued. “The only game I know is touch and run and I’ve never played so I’m not sure if it’s any fun.” She admits, chuckling nervously. Alice looked curiously, tilting her head to the right, now grinning, “Well, I don’t know touch and run, but it sounds fun. Do you know how to play it? If you teach me, I can teach you another one after,” Offering a small deal, Alice stretched her front legs and stood up, then shot a glance at the water, “Just, if it’s possible let’s not get to close to the water.” In her mind she suspected that Crystal would agree, but this was just a habit. And if she really thought about this might have been the first time in her life when she was consciously so close to water with a different reason other than for drinking.

Alice had never heard of touch and run which made Crystal laugh to herself. Eira being Eira I would of suspected everyone knew the game! she thought to herself. "Yeah, I know how to play it! I wouldn't suggest something we couldn't actually do. . ." she thought about what she said. "Y'know. . . I take it back I would. . ." she laughed a little bit. "Basically one of us is "it". Who ever we decide is "it" has to chase the other wolf, or wolves I suppose. Then, if the "it" wolf touches the one of the other wolves they become "it" instead of the old "it". That's really hard to explain." Crystal giggled. "Sure. We can stay away from the water. I'm not the fondest ever of it either." Crystal rose onto her hooves and shook herself off. The wad of her tan fur she had pulled out earlier floated around, stuck to the fur on her legs, so Crystal pulled it off and stuck it to the log. "So, who should be "it" first? I know neither of us have played before, but maybe I should be "it" first since I know how the game works a little bit better." Crystal stretched her legs two at a time and waited for a response from Alice. OOC: Heh. Super short post even for me. Maybe it'll be longer once I'm not so sick!
