[scrolly:h(412), w(340),sy] The view from above was very rich in autumn colours: red, orange, golden splotches. The rich smell, also of autumn, caught his nostrils, the decaying leaves and fruits. The orchard looked nice and isolated, just the way he would wanted it to be. His life had been a rollercoaster recently so having a bit of quiet time for himself sounded great. More than great. Wonderful. He knew his body was starting to slow down, becoming rusty, especially his wings. He couldn't fly long distances like he could when he was younger. They were also weaker so it would not be a great idea to remain mid-air for long so he descended until his paws touched the grassy ground. With an annoyed snort, he realised that he had flown only for a half hour or so and, already, his wings felt strained. Draugur shook his head slowly while fear deep inside him began to rise. He was ageing. Growing older. Hours, minutes, seconds closer to death. He shivered a bit at the thought. Death was inevitable; everyone die at one point of their lives.
But he couldn't die. He raised his head, wide albino eyes taking in the rich scenery. Suddenly it became sharper, more alive than before. This all was precious to him and he couldn't bear thinking about leaving all of this. With a sharp inhalation Draugur shoved the dreaded thoughts out of his mind but it was too late. "There is nothing to be frightened of." He walked up to the nearest tree and made a small circle before settling down. "Death is quicker than falling asleep." He shut his eyes and behind his eyelids he could see a white keiyou. He recognised her from that confrontation with Reynard but this time her eyes were without disappointment. She looked young, at the prime of her life and with this he assumed she had died young. His eyes slid from her face down to her throat, there was couple of dark gouges ripping her throat into pieces.
Surprised, he wondered how he didn't notice it. Probably because the cuts, despite being big, were small enough to be hidden under her thick fur. Draugur met her gaze, feeling guilty. He had survived this long into the old age and this wolf, his mother, was killed young. But something inside him rebelled; he didn't like to look elderly and worn out. He liked to be young and handsome. That was a power in itself and he liked power. He rolled onto his back, staring up at the hanging apples around the autumny tree, wings spread out beneath him majestically. The thought of power led him to the Children. He knew that it wasn't healthy to keep thinking about them and to linger in the past. But it confused him and it hurt. He had lost everything: his pack, his wolves, his Chief and his power. With a sudden growl filled with anger and desperation, Draugur was feeling weak.

Lupa strode across the ground, her head held high as she scanned her surroundings. She let out a frustrated growl. She did not want to be here, no matter how pretty it might be, she wanted to be in the prairie. She around again. Yep, definitely not the prairie. Great. A bolt of lightning flashed down from the otherwise clear sky. She looked up in surprise, she had not meant to do that. She needed to calm down, she would get out of this place soon enough. She came across a small pool of water, and bent her head to drink. The water trickled down her throat and she gave a tiny smile. It was warm here, and she was glad for her short, sleek coat. She started walking again, determined to get out of this.. Place. She wagged her tail at the sight of a tree in the distance. She frowned, the things she hated most about her appearance was a scar over her right eye, and her short tail. Her tail she had cut badly with her lightning when she was younger, and the pack's healer decided to remove it. Though she didn't really care about her appearance, her tail bothered her. Odd questions, funny looks, she could do fine without them. The scent of autumn was heavy in the air, and she took a large sniff. Autumn was her favorite season, just because of the crisp, cool scent, and the beautiful leaves on the tree. Speaking of trees, she was much closer to the tree then before. And it looked as if someone had beat her to it. She let out another growl, just what she wanted, socialization. She was not good at being friendly, in fact, she preferred to stay away from other wolves as much as possible. She didn't want to meet them, and they would be fine without meeting her. She sat down, if that wolf really wanted to talk to her, it could just come over. It was a male, and obviously a keiyou. He was white, or albino by the looks of it. She wondered if he was blind. All the beautiful colors in the world, but blind wolves never got to see any of it. She shuddered at the thought, she liked having all her senses, she would feel weak and vulnerable without them. She started panting, and then realized she was and stopped. The water seemed so distant ago, she was thirsty again, she wanted to lay down, and she was going to lay down in some shade. She scanned the horizon for any other trees, but they seemed to far away. Another bolt of purple lightning whistled down from the sky and hit a small shrub. Now that she had meant to do. Hopefully it would scare the keiyou away. She sat down, and a low growl rose in her throat. She wasn't being super hostile, she was just showing him would she could do in case he got any ideas. Her silver and purple coat gleamed as the sun beat down on it. Her eyes glanced from the shrub to the keiyou. She tensed slightly, she was ready to fight if necessary.

[scrolly:h(412), w(340),sy] There was a sudden flash of a random light across the sky and he leapt onto his paws at a surprising speed for a older wolf with his tail lashing, alarmed. A thunderstorm couldn't be coming; the sky was relatively clear with no single harbinger of a storm. He fixed his gaze skyward, tense for the next bolt of lightning. But none came. Still with his eyes on the clear sky Draugur's hindquarters dropped to ground into a sitting position. Still none came. Confused he slowly dropped his eyes to soft grassy ground, ears forward. Then the familiar sound of paws thudding against ground came. With a faint groan, he knew it was a wolf. A female one. A lupus. Ah, a lightning lupus.
No, he wasn't in the mood. That bolt of light told him that she must be pretty pissed off or excited. He guessed either emotion was enough to create a spontaneous light. From the look of her, she wasn't happy at the sight of him either. Smirking he realised that she wasn't going to be a bother so he turned and settled down. Another sudden flash and a following thunder ruined his mood. He glanced around to glare at the lupus. She was staring at him, her lips stretched into a unreasonable growl and her body tensed. He snorted at her, was she stupid or what? He wasn't going to attack or whatever to her. He silenced suddenly. Did she know about Siren? Was that the reason she got so defensive. No, no she couldn't. As far as he knew only him, Reynard and Skyler knew about the rape. With that, the smirk was back on his handsome face.
"What the--?" He wrinkled his muzzle. "Boasting, are you?" He chuckled; she can only summon lightning. Draugur can summon dead. It wasn't a contest to know which was better. With another snort, this time more amused and louder. He was belittling her, well, he was attempting to do so. She was a female, a silly female with a lightning power under her belt. He dismissed her and returned to his tree. She wasn't important enough to gain his attention; he knew she just wanted to big herself up. Silly, silly.

Lupa watched the kieyou. He didn't fly away, which was slightly disappointing, but her wasn't lunging at her throat either, so she didn't really mind. Her muscles relaxed and she stopped growling. There was enough shade for both of them, and really, there was no need to talk. Lupa didn't believe talk meant anything, action was much more powerful to her. The kieyou wasn't going to talk, huh? Well 'buddy', she thought, two can play that game. She started walking over to the tree, a slight scowl on her face. Which really didn't mean much, she was always in a pretty foul mood. She was only a few yards away when he spoke. She stopped, startled. Then she heaved a great sigh. She had hoped that later on she could go her merry way, without speaking a word. Some wolves were such a disappointment. They could go babbling on for minutes on end. Well, at least this bird-wolf has only asked a simple question, though a stupid one. She gave a snort to match his and replied in a icy tone. "No, I was not boasting." There. That was being truthful, and it answered his question. He should be happy, right? She had half a mind to go on and find some place else to rest, but she did not want this male to think her had won. That was the problem with males. They were all pig-headed and idiots. The silver she wolf wrinkled her nose in disgust, oh how she hated socializing. She stood in front of the male and sighed again. She would be polite, no matter how painful it was. "Excuse me, do you mind if I share the shade with you?" She tried to make her question as brief as she could make it. The thought of asking and having the answer affect her was horrible. But she tried not to let it show. She was just a lupus who got stuck here, and wanted to lay down and rest in some shade. Even if someone else was already laying in a large area of the shade. She waited for his response, once again her eyes traveling over his frame. She had never met and albino before, and, despite her will, she was curious.

[scrolly:h(412), w(340),sy] Draugur eyed the female warily. Even though he dismissed her but he knew her power could be dangerous as well as her fangs. He was an elderly wolf and therefore he wasn't as swift and dangerous as he was when he was in his prime years. She was moving closer to him, and in with every movements there weren't any malice or intent, only patience. He smirked. She was getting annoyed by the fact that he hadn't fled with the warning spark of lightning. Soon she proved him right with a snort and an icy reply.
He wrinkled his muzzle and frown with a smile filled with mock confusion. "Really? Are you sure?" With a glance at the fried bush; "That bush indicated otherwise." He raised a brow and a smirk once again returned to his face. This female was being silly, pretending to be modest and all innocent. It won't do anyone harm if she admitted it. In fact, boasting was what grab others' attention either negatively or positively. He thought all it mattered was being noticed. Then he thought back how he was being treated in the Children recently. Okay, to be specific, being known for bad things was much better than not being known at all. At least in that way, Draugur would make his mark in the perpetual road of past.
He looked up at the lupus; she was closer than before and she politely asked whether he minded or not to share his shade. With this he scoffed at her: "Yes, I would mind. I got here first. There are plenty of shades available for you to hog." His snout moved horizontally, indicating the other trees with nice shadows underneath them. "So... shoo." He flicked his wing at her before tucking his nose under another wing of his.

Lupa was so startled she sat down. Oh, how she wished she could claw him! But no, she wanted to do this in a civil manner. No matter how annoying this keiyou was. "Yes, I am sure. I am not an idiot, no matter what you may believe, I would not say I'm sure, if I was not sure." She put a lot of un-needed empathizes on the word sure, and her eyes narrowed at the albino. She wished she had not run into anyone, she wished she had found a nice little tree, with no annoying and stupid wolves under it. She stood up and managed to look the male straight in the eye, even laying down he almost as tall as the petite female. The petite female who looked ready to kill. When he spoke his next words, she started to grind her teeth. Her eyes flashed and little sparks popped and crackled around her coat. "That bush was meant to show you what could happen if you attacked." Her next words were a mere mumble under her breath. "But I see you are to lazy to do so." Her eyes popped when the male spoke for, alas, a third time. "Hog? Hog? I see no wolf that is hogging, mister, except for you!" She calmed down a little, her eyes stopped rolling. God, this wolf really could piss her off. She hadn't met someone who could do it that bad in a long time. A small, secret part of her loved getting into fights, looking danger in the eye, but right now she would rather lay down in some shade, and maybe take a nap. "I am sorry for the inconvenience, but I will not shoo." With that she sat down again, right in front of him, and watched him. She could wait, oh yes, she could wait, she would do whatever it took until this annoying male cracked.
OOC: Sorry for how short it is, was running out of time!

[scrolly:h(412), w(340),sy] Draugur still kept his muzzle tucked under his feathery wing until the lupus spoke, bringing him out of his comfort zone. Heaving an exaggerated sigh he looked up at her and forced himself to listen her overly emphasised speech. It was polite to listen to this whining female, wasn't it? But when the keiyou spotted many tiny electrical sparks charging around her coat he grinned widely. So she was pissed off then. Draugur was nearly pissed off but the female got there first so, in his twisted mind, he won this little competition. A patience competition.
"Aw, do you think it was necessary to fry that bush just to warn me? Just a few simple words will do. I don't bite." His pale red eyes glinted along with the last three words mischievously. Draugur was in much better mood now that he knew he had angered this female. He smiled at her reply. Hog? He shrugged lightly; this little girl had a point. But then there were plenty of shades for a lot of wolves to go around. Surely it would not do anyone harm if this lightning female decided to flex her leg muscles a bit to move to the nearest shade. "It won't do you any harm to exercise a bit." He twitched his ears, bracing himself for an expected outburst. Females were usually foolish with their appearances. But then, the similar pressure was on for males as well. He looked up at the lupus's face again as she sat down.
"Oh, won't you?" He pursed his lips for a moment before smiling again: "You're a feisty one, aren't you?" He was in so much cheerful mood now since seeing the jumping sparks. Winding up a girl can be a such fun. Especially a feisty one like this one; he liked them. Draugur reluctantly admitted to himself that the appearance of this hotheaded female might be just what he needed.

Lupa stayed sitting, she was not going to back off, she was just too stubborn. Besides, she was having a little bit of fun arguing with this male, it gave her something to do. She glared down at the wolf, if looks could kill, he would definitely be dead. She longed to pull of each of his wings and listen to him scream as she did so, but she was not going to show this male she was pissed off. Though the sparks had probably blown her cover. Crap. When the keiyou grinned, Lupa wanted to scream. Oh how she hated him. But still, she enjoyed it. Getting up into someones face, snarls and growls. Oh, I just know I'll be the death of myself, Lupa thought angrily, her fur on the back of her neck rising up, though a amused glint shone in her eyes. When he spoke, she deemed it not necessary to reply, so instead she gave him another glare, one that showed him what she meant all too clearly. Besides, what kind of fool wouldn't bite? What, did he only have gums? This sarcastic thought made her smirk a little, the idea of a wolf without teeth was amusing to her. In fact, over all, this wolf was amusing. He got her angry oh so easily, but she hadn't fought -or talked with- another wolf for quite some time, so she would humor him. When he spoke, she stuck her face close to his and said defiantly, " I have walked a long way to get here, I see no need to walk more." She pulled her face back and stared at him, waiting to see what reaction her actions would provoke. She didn't care about what she looked like anyway. She had given up on caring when she had blasted part of her tail off. There just was no reason to care. Her smirk grew more pronounced when he called her feisty. She would play along some more. "Yes, I won't move, and yes, I am a feisty one." She laughed inside, that was probably not what he had expected. She dug her claws into the dirt, she would stay here all night if she had to, she would not budge.

[scrolly:h(412), w(340),sy] Draugur watched her hackles rose and, strangely, an amused glint appeared in her purple eyes. With this oddity, he was a little taken aback. It was obvious that she was pissed off but... was she also enjoying it? Perhaps she was just enjoying taking the mick out of him. Well, he knew he does with her. But the glare of hers as a reply to his bush comment took his confusion away. Sure, it was pretty Yes, he guessed she did enjoy this despite how angry she appeared. Perhaps she was pretty fuming by the fact that he wasn't intimidated by her lightning show.
He wrinkled his muzzle as he saw a smirk appeared on her muzzle. She was gaining an upper hand over him now and he didn't like it. She was starting to derail his cunning. He didn't like that either. Curse females and their feminine wiles. Draugur's head retreated slightly as the lupus thrust her face into his and spoke boldly. Aw, should he pity her? Hell, he was positive that he was older than her, getting into his elderly years so... should it be the other way around? Then he started to think. Nah, he wouldn't like it very much, getting pity and special treatments for being an old wolf. "Aw, I flew all the way and got here first." He mimicked her tone then added: "Finder keeps, loser weeps." He snorted into her face.
Her smirk became more bold as she responded. "Yes, you are certainly one feisty lady." He looked down and saw her claws had been dug into ground and smiled. She was a determined wolf. Really, what was the point of staying in an area with another wolf when you want to be alone? Draugur blinked. Losing was no option now, especially when there is his pride and dignity at sake and he was sure that she knew that as well. Or else she would leave by now. He peered up at her and an amused smile stretched his lips as he spoke: "So it's a good thing that I know how to handle feisty girls then."

Who did this wolf think he was? Did he think, for some odd reason, that because he was here first she was going to turn around an leave? Well, this was one wolf who would be sorely disappointed. She had never been one to quit, and she wasn't starting now. It was strange though, that of all the wolves she could get in a fight with, she got in a fight with one that enjoyed it. Then again, so did she, so she figured they were evenly matched. Her lips curled up into a pleased smile, there was no reason to pretend she didn't enjoy fighting with him, it was obvious she did. She briefly wondered who the heck this male was, and what his name was, but that thought was crushed by her iron determination win this little battle of minds. Her smile turned into a growing grin. She had the upper hand and she knew it. This wolf thought he was so amazing, well he was just about to be proved wrong. If truth to be told, she would not have chosen feisty, but stubborn. And determination. She was determined to come out on top. " Finder keeps, loser weeps?" She said.. "What are you, a pup?" She asked incredulously. If he had meant to get her even more riled up, he had failed horribly. She gave a bark of laughter, fortune had been with her when it had lead her to this male, she could use a laugh or two.
She unclenched her claws when he noticed. No reason to be tense, she could tell he enjoyed this too, and she felt he was not going to make her go away. Yet. They had both played their cards, now they just had to wait and see who would win. The stakes were high, both of them had gambled their pride, and Lupa was eager to see what would happen. "Handle? Buddy, you have no idea what you have gotten yourself into." She drawled, a glint in her eye and a grin on her face.

[scrolly:h(412), w(340),sy] Even when he said he got here first he did not expect this lady to give in and leave. From what Draugur had seen, this girl wanted the just same thing as him. To come out top. He watched as enjoyment began to overwhelm her, caused her to express a pleased smile. She must had realised that there was no point in hiding what she was really feeling. She had been quite grumpy when she first came but now she was smiling. He was the same. Perhaps this banter was just what the two wolves needed.
He frowned momentarily as curiosity sneaked up to him. Who was she anyway? But the albino male was quick to brush it off. Perhaps it would be best if they remain strangers. After all she could be a member of his pack. In the end Draugur decided to not to find out. This was the part of the game. Two strangers gambling with everything they had on them right now; pride and dignity.
He let out a chuckle as she let out a loud laughter: "No. But that is true, don't you think?" The keiyou withdrew a bit to look at the female up and down; "I'm at exactly where I want to be and you're whining for my shade. Which I found." He raised a brow, inviting her to challenge the fact. But he knew she will anyway; this lupus was incapable of accepting the facts and back down despite how obvious they were.
The white keiyou saw how the lupus's body relaxed and instinctively he looked down to her paws. They had relaxed as well. He looked up and directly at the female's purple eyes. There was a faint sneer upon his muzzle. She was certain that he would not be a challenge and decided to relax because she was also certain that he would not try and force her to leave. Well, that was a truth. But he was just as eager as the lupus to see the outcome of this gamble. He watched her eyes glinting and mouth stretching into another pleased expression as she drawled. Draugur didn't reply straight away; his body did not move but his lips slowly stretched into a scornful grin. Then he had his handsome face closer to the female's face and whispered with an arrogant smirk still on his lips: "Try me."

Lupa snickered slightly. She had been in a stormy mood when she had first seen the male, but now that mood was quickly evaporating. A fight was just what she needed. She still wondered who this mysterious male was, but she shushed her thought. Now was not the time for questions. Now was the time to win, to have a lovely victory over the male. She could almost taste the delicious fruits of victory. She was stubborn, most definitely, and usually that was a bad thing, but right now, it was coming in handy. The male was a.. Unusual one. He was like her, ever so slightly, for hadn't he been reluctant to share his shade, but then started to enjoy himself as the argument got more heated, the flame of the anger fanned by their desire to win. But there was only one who would come out on top. And it will be me, Lupa thought smugly. "You aren't a pup? Could have fooled me." She added a grin to those words, pretending was long gone. She considered his statement, she had to admit he had a point, however small. "Ah well, true as those words may be, I'm not gonna go away. Sorry, but you're stuck with me for a while." She had told the truth, his words were true, if it had been her in the shade, she probably would have said something along the same lines to anyone who came along. "Whining?" She laughed again. "I gave up whining ages ago." She waved a dismissive paw and continued. "Trust me, if I didn't want to be here, I wouldn't be here." She gave him a second wolfish grin, her pearly white teeth showing. Try him? She wondered what the outcome of this would be. She thought of a victory though, and she made up her mind. "Try you? With pleasure. Usually ladies go first, though I think you will find I'm as much a lady as you are a gentleman, so you can have the first move." Her grin grew wider, she was curious to see what her would do. Every move he made effected her out come, and her out come had to be winning. It had to. She waited on tender hooks for the male, the grin still on her lips.

[scrolly:h(412), w(340),sy] He knew arrogantly that he would dominate over this silly animal and be able to shove her around after that. To humiliate her even further, and he had just the way to do that. The keiyou shifted his small but strong body slightly to make his position more comfortable but also to show this female that he was quite happy with his place. "So I look young? Thanks for that." He knew that wasn't what she meant but still it made him feel a little more younger. Silly, he knew, but he was nearing eight now and if he wasn't albino he knew ageing grey flecks would start to cover his beautiful coat. For once he was thankful for his flawless colour.
Stuck with her? Well, it could be worse. He made a grunting sound as a reply but he was snorting with laughter on the inside. More like she was stuck with him. She intrigued him and he had no plan to get rid of her until he had his fun, however small it may be. If he was being honest he guessed she felt just the same. Maybe they weren't so different. Two wolves bickering under the shade of an apple tree, determined to come out top. Okay, Draugur had to admit that he kind of liked her and her feisty ways. True, he liked feisty girls but this one was quite similar to himself and he loved himself.
"So... Do you like being here?" He flashed a grin to match hers, eyes glinted with amusement; "With me?" Refusing to leave his place, Draugur shuffled towards the female slightly and spoke as a reply to her next statement; "Okay... so my first move shall be..." A mock thoughtful look appearance on his face as he stared up at the female. But at the same time, he stretched both his front legs and wrapped each leg of his around each ankle of the female's, not touching her legs just yet. He quickly hoped she would not notice this subtle move before he started to pull both of the girl's front legs towards him. Now he hoped, if this worked, she would fall chest down, and closer and at the same level as him.

Lupa grinned triumphantly, the victory was as good as her's already. She could see no reasons why this stupid bird brain should stay here. She gave him a calculating look though, a sixth sense told her that the idiot still had a feel tricks up his sleeve. Her grin vanished when he turned her insult into a compliment. "I'm afraid you didn't hear me correctly," she hissed. Oh! This idiot wasn't even worth her time! Why was she still here, anyway? Because I enjoy fighting with him, she reminded herself. Still, that was a pretty sorry reason, and if she hadn't been so into the fight, she would have left. This wolf was so darn annoying.. She hated this, she hated him, and she hated this darn orchid, where she just had to find a tree with him.
Whoever he was. Once again she wondered who he was, and this time she really cared about the answer. She wasn't the most cautious wolf around, but she still would like to know who her enemies were. If you could call them enemies. She didn't like him, but at the same time she did. The encounter with him had definitely spruced up her day, but there was no way they were friends. She had to scoff at the idea. Her? Friends with this prick? No way. Her eyes widened in surprise at his words. She then gave out another bark of laughter. "Like it here? In a different time, a different day, and without you? Maybe. But seeing as you asked if I like it here with you, I will have to say.. Hm.. No." She was half lying, she did enjoy verbally sparing with him, but she still hated him.
She stared off into space slightly, distracted again by the question of his identity. She was so absorbed, she didn't notice him wrap his paws around her ankles until is was to late. With a surprised "Oof!" and a thump, she fell forward, ending up on his level. "Oh, you are gonna pay for that little stunt!" She growled, then attempted to smack him on the nose with her paw. She hoped her paw would strike it's target, for he was really annoying. She jumped back up, on his level was too degrading. Lupa growled and jumped forward, trying to flip him on his back. If her first little trick didn't work, hopefully this would.

[scrolly:h(412), w(340),sy] Draugur snorted when he saw this lupus's repetitive confident smiles. She was so confident with the outcome, but he was also confident in himself. She would be extremely humiliated if her opponent won, did she ever think about that? Obviously not since she kept putting the thought of her winning in her mind. Draugur, on other hand, was aware of the risks and, because of this, he was careful not to over think about winning. He didn't like the idea of putting himself high only to be fall a long way down if he happened to lose. "No? I think I heard you correctly. I may be old but my hearing is as good as ever." There was a sly glint in his unusual eyes when he saw that he had pressed her right buttons. She was getting all fired up again and this pleased him.
He twitched his ears, this girl wasn't stranger anymore even though she was nameless to him. He couldn't exactly say they were the bestest of friends or worst enemies. They just liked to bicker and that was it. Sure they annoyed each other, mostly Draugur to this lupus, but they liked it. Mostly Draugur since the wolf seemed to be pissed off again. "Ouch. That hurts." His voice was flat with no emotions whatsoever. It showed how uncaring he was to this wolf's feelings. She liked him or dislike him, it did not matter to him. Draugur was just searching for a fun, a wolf to poke at and he found her.
His lips stretched into a mischievous grin as he saw his opponent zoning off for some reason and had his legs around hers. Then she fell as he pulled. The female was at his eye level and he snickered a bit as the female snarled at him. An idea to humiliate her further came to his head as her nose floated in front of his muzzle. A smile came to his face before his tongue darted out and licked her nose swiftly only to be rebuked with her paw across his muzzle. A moment of silence then: "Ow." The swat took his smile off his face for, unfortunately for her, a short moment. She leapt back, still growling and darted for him again and he found himself on his back. But he was chuckling with his paw prodding the wolf in the chin. "Determined little lady, aren't you?"
