He had seen how confused Lupa appeared when he reacted but he noticed how she dismissed it. This both relieved and disturbed him; relieved that she wouldn't bother to ask him anymore, and disturbed that she didn't care about him. Sure, she didn't care about him before but she cared enough to ask (yes, she was nosy but still) but not now. It could be because of the awkwardness between the two wolves. Lupa had revealed something horrible and Draugur had lied to her without her noticing when he promised he would tell her everything. It was an odd situation; two strangers together alone in a such colourful place.
He was vastly relieved when he saw that Lupa believed his apology. He was afraid that his uncertain would seep into his words, leading the silver lupus into believing that he was fibbing. Lupa, he thought, was quite all right. She could be annoying, true, but when you got there, she was rather amusing and alright. But he guessed that there would be more than what she was showing right now. She must be brave and strong-willed; she had been raped, yet here she was, still continuing to live. He wouldn't blame her if she chose to die after all it was a horrible way to dominate a wolf. Again a jolt of guilt stabbed his body as he started to imagine how would she be feeling.
Draugur twitched his ears and made a grunt when she made her own apology. Still with a half of a whole story he was surprised that she showed him any pity. He had harmed a wolf, let alone his mate, and here Lupa was, telling him that she was sorry to hear it. Perhaps... perhaps if he admitted the whole truth perhaps there would be a chance for her to understand... He was tempted to believe that-- No! No! No, it would not happen! She would sympathise with Siren rather with him. He tilted his head almost curiously as Lupa finished speaking. He still appeared upset. Of course he was upset. He was hurting inside so damn bad. Of course he was upset! He had fucking hurt Siren! He sprang up and his ears flattened backwards; "What do you want me to do ?! Prance under a rainbow?!" His eyes glittered with a distant rage. He was pissed off with himself and with the fact that he couldn't unburden himself. "I had harmed my mate so fucking bad that she could not remember anything anymore!" He started to shake with the heavy strain. "And now she's gone!" He panted and turned heavily to walk away.
He was fed up with this Sparky and with this impossibility of redeeming his previous actions. It was as if someone was enjoying putting him through this anguish. But he had never behaved this way before; Lupa must had trigged something inside him. He opened his wings wide so they were flattened vertically above him; he was truly fed up with this all and all he just wanted now was to leave. The previous fury was subsiding, only to be replaced with exhaustion. He turned his head to Lupa and with a tired tone (it sounded as if he had heard this before so often) he spoke: "Since you're in the Children of Hvítur Ári, you should know..." He looked up at the sky then back to her again with a tired but sly smile on his face: "Tell Reynard that his old pal Draugur says hi." Then, finally, he leapt into the air and flew upwards into the appearing clouds. As usual, he was flying away from his own troubles.
